For more than a decade, Mayor Waite has served the Santa Clara community with integrity, thoughtfulness, and a genuine commitment to public service. From his ten years on the City Council to his role as liaison to the Power Department and now as Mayor, he has invested countless hours learning, listening, and leading on complex power and energy issues. His work has helped build strong partnerships between city leadership, utility staff, and the community, while promoting transparency, innovation, and reliability in local power management.
A true advocate for public power, Mayor Waite continues to champion energy efficiency, sustainability, and smart, forward looking solutions that put residents first. We are grateful for his leadership and proud to see him recognized with this well deserved honor.
