Each year the community gathers to welcome Samichlaus (Swiss Santa), enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and donuts, and purchase the exclusive annual collectible Christmas ornament. This heartwarming tradition began in Santa Clara in 2020 and has become a treasured part of the city’s holiday celebrations. The event is held every year on December 6th on the grass across from Town Hall at 2603 Santa Clara Drive, offering a special opportunity for residents and visitors to experience a Swiss Christmas celebration that connects the community to the rich heritage and customs that make Santa Clara unique.
