Mayor Waite grew up in a small Idaho farming community and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Costa Rica. He graduated from BYU in 2005 with a degree in business management. Soon after, he married his beautiful wife, Jenna, and they moved back to her hometown of Santa Clara. They’re the parents of five wonderful children, and have owned and operated Laser Mania Family Fun Center for almost 20 years. He has chaired boards for the Kite Festival, Community Education Channel, St. George Chamber of Commerce “Sunshiners,” and Southwest Mosquito Abatement District. He completed the Leadership Dixie program in 2022 and served on the board for three years. In 2025, Mayor Waite was honored as the UAMPS Elected Leader of the Year. He has a deep love for Santa Clara and is honored to serve as Mayor. He loves spending time with his family, college football, and gardening.
